There's something indescribably comforting about rain in the middle of summer. A single dark day in the middle of so much light. It helps me breathe a little easier.

For the record:
A) I am NOT a Portlander. I'm an Oregonian.
B) I don't like the rain during the winter the same way Ally does. I just like it in the summer because it reminds me how wonderful the sun really is.

Just so we're clear.

yeah, i think this must be a pacific northwest need. I'm not feeln' this rain at all. :(

in other news (and the main reason for this comment), i met a friend of yours today and had a very lovely conversation with her. Claire Jackson. She is my good friend's cunada. Small world, huh?

I feel the same comfort when experiencing a sunny day in the middle of summer amongst all the rainy ones.
