Heart.

My adorable boyfriend took me on our first big date last night and it was just... so great. Yeah, really really great. He brought me flowers, he took me to his favorite restaurant in the city, he bought us tickets to see one of our favorite bands play. I really couldn't have asked for a better evening. I think I couldn't have even dreamed up a better evening. So if you were wondering how things are going with the new boyfriend I can tell you - they're going great. Really really great.

This is the first guy who played. I can't remember his name, I'll ask Michael and get back to you on that... but he was really good, and hilarious in a very "what? I'm not trying to be funny" sort of way. And he had the exact same harmonica holder as Michael which made us like him just all that much more.

And then there was Amina. The 4 girls who play with Sigur Ros. They play a wide assortment of instruments including saws (as is photographed below), water glasses, bells, and stringed instruments. They usually play several different instruments throughout each song, looping them on top of each other as the song progresses. It was perfect. Beautiful, romantic, and really really good.

For their encore they all played saws of different sizes.

Here they are playing xylophone, hand bells, water glasses and who knows what else... If you ever have a chance to see Amina play you should take it, especially now when they are in small venues.
Oh and when they talked between songs their sweet little Icelandic accents reminded me of our dear Helga. Thank God for Iceland!
And thank God for terrific boyfriends and perfect dates!

Cry about it.

Very brief complaining post: I really really want to go back up to my room and crawl into my bed and sleep. It's raining out and I just had too much breakfast and not quite enough sleep last night. But instead I must research more for this semi-lame project which just isn't coming together very well. I know, my life is terrible right?
You know you've got it good when this is your biggest complaint...

I'm going to be a bridesmaid for the 3rd time this summer. This time for my most dear and beloved Jenny. I'm so excited to walk through this with her. We've been through a lot together over the years, eh Jen? Yeah... a lot. I'm so glad this is one of the happy things! Maybe the happiest yet! Yeah, definitely the happiest yet. What am I thinking, the girl's getting married!
Love you Jen!

Mmmm...

Yeah, I just can't think of anything very inspired to say. We had a couple divinely sunny days. It was marvelous. They are gone now but the memory still lingers sweetly. (I felt the need to wax poetic there for a moment. Forgive me). It's nice to be back after a restful week. Nice to spend time with my girls and my Michael. Things are starting to really pick up school-wise. Many big papers loom over head. Have digressed into imcomplete sentences. Much like Chineese proverbs. Perhaps that is all for now.

So this is pretty much what I've been doing this Spring Break. Although... the open eyes here are a bit of a rarety... Amazing isn't he?

Da baby.

He really is an endless cycle of eating, burping, pooping, diaper changing, and sleeping. That really is all he does. Yet somehow it is amazing. We just sit around and look at him most of the time.
Also,
The weather here is INCREIBLE! Bright blue sunny and 60 degrees. Yesterday Sam and I long boarded from the river front to Avery Park and back and today I walked down to the llama barns and sat outside with the baby.
I haven't left my house or done hardly anything productive all day. And it has been glorious. My goodness, the Lord is good to me!
